Using barcodes in inventory management greatly improves the accuracy and significantly speeds up any transaction, which involves inventory items. Errors such as transposed numbers, incorrect invoices, and missing inventory are reduced by introducing barcodes and scanning. Receiving inventory, generating invoices and inventory counting becomes faster and more accurate.
Receiving inventory is fast and simple. On the HandiFox™ handheld computer, simply pull up the purchase order which was generated in QuickBooks®. Scanning the items in the shipment will highlight each one on the handheld screen. It is possible to enter the number received by using the keyboard, or pressing the scan button multiple times. The results are saved in the handheld, and sent to QuickBooks® inventory. Managers can review the results before synchronization with QuickBooks®.
HandiFox™ provides mobile tracking software to perform faster inventory counts with improved accuracy. Personnel responsible for inventory management software are provided with a complete list of items on handheld computers. Items can be found by scanning or searching the list. It is possible to count the entire inventory or partial lists.
Barcodes can be the Universal Product Code, another barcode, or custom barcodes. Labels can be printed from the HandiFox™ menu in QuickBooks®.
