How little things can make a big difference

How little things can make a big difference

improvements.jpg At HandiFox, we have our customers’ needs at heart. As much as we try to master our expertise by learning all the nuts and bolts of inventory and sales management, we also set great store by our customers’ inputs on how we can get even better.

Based on our customers’ insights and our own observations, over the last several months we've made a number of small enhancements in our software, some of which introduce new capabilities, and others - save your time by optimizing the UI. In this overview we want to dedicate just a few lines to each of them, in order to show how such minor enhancements can add up over time and significantly improve your experience. Here’s what we have on deck:

  • Quick Transfers let you send or receive inventory from another site without the other party having to confirm the transaction.
  • The new “Admin” permission in mobile user settings lets you grant or deny the access to Admin section of the app.
  • Barcode scanning now works for build assemblies, letting you choose quickly what you want to build.
  • Now it is possible to mark and close multiple sales orders in one click in the Open Transactions to Pick/Pack window.
  • Added the ability to pick/pack paid invoices. If a certain option is enabled, invoices that have been paid will stick around in the app for the set period of time, letting you do picking and packing. Customer balances will be correctly updated if any of the items have not been shipped in the end.
  • Now HandiFox on PC lets you transfer inventory between any two sites (previously one of them had to be the Main), which allows a manager to re-allocate inventory across the additional sites without involving Main as an intermediary stage.
  • The font size has been increased for all default document templates used by the mobile app, for better printout quality.
  • We took advantage of QuickBooks Enterprise's extra capabilities and enabled HandiFox to record inventory counts to your company file in Multi-user mode (lower editions of QuickBooks still require switching to Single-user mode for this).
  • Added a larger barcode label size in addition to the standard 2x1" labels. Now you can choose between "Normal" and "Large" sizes when printing barcode labels from the HandiFox PC.
  • Added the ability to alter the default format for tax amount in your customized document templates.
  • Sales order cloning: now you can quickly create duplicates of sales orders, in case your customer wants to repeat a previous order.
  • Barcode labels can now be printed from within the mobile app, using a wireless-capable label printer.
  • Transfer report printouts now include additional columns for the item QOH on both source and target sites at the moment of transfer.
  • Implemented the support for Epson TM printer family in the Android app.
  • In addition to serial/lot number support on sales transactions, we have added the ability to track what lots and s/n are moved between inventory sites using HandiFox's system of transfers. • HandiFox has always kept its own internal list of product barcodes, but now it can also hook into the barcodes system within QuickBooks's Advanced Inventory extension, if it is available, much like it does with inventory sites.

We are convinced that little things can help you accomplish something bigger! HandiFox team is happy to lend an ear to your insights and feature requests.
